Better Internet Search alpha version 2.2 is now live.
It is now July and on schedule we have released the latest version of our search engine. To our new users, welcome, and to our existing users we would like to thank you for your continued support and feedback, this helps us to shape and improve all future versions. To future users you can register your interest here.
So version alpha 2.2 is now live and includes enhanced user security so we need you to add a personal password (we have deleted all the old user files). So, what is new? Well we think the general, image and video searches are better (but you can be the judge). The maps can now give directions, you gain search credits as you use the shopping and there is an improved user interface where it is easier to see your search history. We are working hard on the product searches for shopping and have many new retailers that we will be bringing onboard soon, as well as making these searches more relevant and faster. You will also see that there is an optional user persona that you can set and in future these personas will be used to enhance product searches.
During lockdown our team has been working hard in both Scotland and Spain on this version 2.2 and will now start developing towards 3.0 and a beta release with better product searches based on some cool machine learning. Happy searching and do give us feedback (good or bad) at any time. This is genuinely of great value and we would not have such a great search engine if it were not for you, our early users.
Thank you again from the Better Internet Search team.
