Better Internet Search conducted its first user tests at Edinburgh Napier University where 12 volunteers gave us their feedback.
12 volunteers joined us for testing (and pizza) on 29th October. A series of tests were conducted which involved trying different types of searches and also trying searches on different devices. The test users recorded their findings and we discussed their user experiences over pizza. We noted what was liked about our search engine and where we could make improvements.
Considering that the search engine still has months of planned development before it will be release, we found the feedback extremely encouraging. No new bugs were found, but two known bugs were encountered during tests. The quality of the search results was generally praised and the main areas of criticism were around the quality of the user interface.
We have now made improvements to the user interface a priority before the next set of test scheduled for next months.
The Kin white paper has been published and describes the unique search engines ad-free, community-based, web3 business model and the ecosystem 'tokenomics'.
