A patent application with some unique search engine ideas was first filed by Dr Gordon Povey on 6th December 2017 and this was publish 12 month later. At that time Better Internet Search Ltd did not exist and so it was filed under Dr Povey's consulting company (Trisent Ltd). On 21st September this patent was granted and Better Internet Search Ltd has a royalty free license to exploit this technology. The technology is core to the privacy and performance of the personalised search and user personas being developed.
